Elks National Foundation 2011 Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office, or on-line at www.elks.org/enf/scholars. Deadline is December 1, 2010 and applications need to returned to Barry Redfern at Midwest Bank at 105 W. Elm St. P.O. Box 545 in York, NE 68467
Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship. Eligibility is limited to Seniors who have at lease a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. Applications can be found on line at www.wendysheisman.com. Application deadline is October 3, 2010.
Prudential Spirit of Community Scholarship. Applications can be found at http://spirit.prudential.com or www.principals.org/prudential, click on the "How to Apply" link, and follow the onscreen instructions. Horatio Alger Association since 1984 has award over $70 million to deserving students in college scholarships and grants. Students can find the application at www.horatioalger.com/scholarships. Deadline is October 30, 2010.
Hearst Foundation Scholarship Program. Student must hold a class office or be on the student council. Students must complete the application and then take a test. Applications and tests must be completed by October 8th.
Nebraska Educational Office Professionals Association. To be eligible graduating senior must have completed at least two business classes. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. Deadline is January 15, 2011.
Coca-Cola Scholarship Foundation. Coke will award $3 million dollars to 250 senior students. Application can be found at www.coca-colascholars.org and application deadline is 10/31/10
Perennial Power District is offering a $1,000 per year scholarship to a student planning to enroll in a utility line program. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of January 1, 2011.
Young Entrepreneur Foundation Scholarship. Student must be own or run a small business. Applications can be found at www.NFIB.com/YEA. Application deadline is December 31,2010.

Winsor Tucker Scholarship. Applicants must reside in York County be in the top 15% of their class and have an ACT test score of at least 27. Applications can be found at www.yorkcommunityfoundation.org applications can also be found in the Guidance Office. Deadline is March 1st.
Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship. Minimum ACT composite test score of 30. Applications can be found at www.education.ne.gov/byrd. Deadline is March 15
ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship. Must plan to major in nuclear engineering. Applications can be found at www.ans.org/honors/scholarships/
Central Community College ACT Advantage Scholarship. Applicant must an ACT composite score of at least 21 and a minimum GPA of 2.5. To receive an application students must have submitted their ACT scores to Central Community College prior to February 15, 2011.
