April 26, 2010
On Wednesday April 21, 2010, seven Computer Applications Class members attended a Robotics Seminar at SCC in Milford. The students were given a tour of the facility and then dug into the day’s activities. They were divided into three groups and given a box of robot parts to assemble. By lunch all three groups had fully assembled a robot that was fully functional and run by remote control. Lunch was provided by the college. After lunch the members were allowed to add creative touches to their robots. Adam and Ben made a workable loader bucket. The other two groups added lots of chrome to their vehicles. All involved enjoyed themselves and felt it was a great hands on experience.
