Elks National Foundation 2010 Most Valuable Student Scholarship. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. All completed applications need to be returned to the Guidance Office by November 2, 2009.
Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship. Eligibility is limited to Seniors who have at lease a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. Applications can be found on line at www.wendysheisman.com Application deadline is October 1, 2009.
Prudential Spirit of Community Scholarship. Applications can be found at http://spirit.prudential.com or www.principals.org/prudential, click on the "How to Apply" link, and follow the onscreen instructions. When asked for the access key, type the word spirit.If you have questions you can call 877-525-8491 toll free for more information. Application deadline: November 2, 2009.
Perennial Public Power is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student planning to enroll in an electric utility line program in college. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office
Horatio Alger Association will award over $6 million in 2010 in college scholarships and grants. Students can find the application at www.horatioalger.com/scholarships. Deadline is October 30, 2009.
Each week throughout the school year, KX 96.9 will award a "Scholar of the Week" to an area high school senior. The weekly winners will be awarded with a special plaque and will be featured on KX 96.9 web site (www.kzkx.com) At the end of the school year KX 96.9 will award $500 scholarships to the top six weekly winners during the annual Gold Star Banquet.
Chet Linder Memorial Scholarships. The Nebraska Independent Insurance Agents are now accepting applications for three Chet Linder Memorial Scholarships. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. $750 each

Winsor Tucker Scholarship must be in the top 15% of your class have an ACT score of at least 27 and live in York County. Application deadline is March 1, 2010 and applications can be found in the Guidance Office.
York Area Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Scholarship. Eligibility for the scholarship is for a graduating senior residing in York County. Primary Requirement student must be a Ag major at a vocational or 4 year college or university. Amount of the scholarship is $500. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office and the application deadline is March 1, 2010.
York Area Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneurial Scholarship. To be eligible you must pursue a business related major and have a history of volunteering. You must also be employed part-time with a current member of the York Chamber, plan on attending a college in Nebraska and be a resident of York County. Application can be found in the Guidance Office and the application deadline is March 1, 2010.
Seward, York, Aurora, Antique Tractor Club Scholarship. Student must be a member of FFA and attach a 250 word essay. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with an application deadline of March 12, 2010.
Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association Scholarships. Students planing to become teachers or other related occupations, such as counselors or media specialist may apply. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. Applications must be returned to the Guidance Office by January 21, 2010.
WinField Solutions offers $1,000 scholarships to Ag students Through Premier Brands, Agrisolutions and CROPLAN Genetics. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office or at WinfieldSolutionsLLC.com. All applications must be postmarked by Feb. 1, 2010.
Central Community College Senior Scholarship Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. With a March 1, 2010 deadline. The application can also be completed at www.cccneb.edu.
Nebraska Press Association Foundation, Inc. Scholarship. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 1, 2010. Scholarship has a value of $2,000.
American Legion Auxiliary Scholarships. Application guidelines can be found in the Guidance Office with a March 1, 2010 deadline. Students can only apply for ONE of the Auxiliary scholarships.
The Gerald Coffey Post #4755 Auxiliary VFW is once again offering a scholarship to high school seniors from a Seward County high school. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 8, 2010. Application criteria is listed on the back of the scholarship application.
College of Hair Design Scholarship application can be found in the Guidance Office.
The Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does, Drove #7 is offering two $300.00 Scholarship Awards to deserving seniors in the York area. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a March 20, 210 deadline.
Peru State is offering the Clements Band Scholarship and the Naeve Douglas Music Scholarship for students planning on attending Peru State College. Deadline for applying is March 12, 2010
Gus Swanson Memorial Scholarship is available to students who plan to purse a degree in one of the following fields: advertising, marketing, mass communications, communication studies, public relations, journalism, graphic design or desktop publishing. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of April 15, 2010
York P.E.O. Scholarship will be awarded to a girl in the top 25% of her class. Application deadline of March 1, 2010 and applications can be found in the Guidance Office.

York County Pork Producers Scholarship applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 1, 2010
Omaha Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) scholarship applications can be obtained by making a request to Mary Dobransky at mary.dobransky@bellevue.edu. Application deadline is April 4, 2010
Mildred Sterner Baker Memorial Scholarship applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 19, 2010. One boy and one girl from York county will be selected based on character, church and religious interest and ambition, and high scholastic standing not be necessary as all do not have that ability, but recipients should have a sincere desire for higher learning in some college or university.

Virginia and Tom Pierce Memorial Scholarship applications can be found in the Guidance Office. This scholarship is intended for students with a physical disability, or if a parent of the student has a physical disability. Deadline is March 1st.
Better Business Bureau is offering the Scott Mecham Student of Integrity Scholarships. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 5th
Johnny Baxter Carriage House Foundation. A $1,000 grant will be awarded to each of the six community college areas in Nebraska for students pursuing a degree in an automotive career. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of April 2, 2010.

Lincoln Builders Bureau. Applicants must be an employee of a Lincoln Builders Bureau member company, or the child of an employee. Applicants must plan to enroll in an accredited college or trade school with a focus of construction science. Application deadline is April 1st and applications can be found in the Guidance Office.
2010 Student-View Scholarship Program. Applicants must log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area. The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications. Scholarship winner will be announced in May, 2010.

Nebraska Coaches Association - Must be in the top 25% have lettered in at least 2 sports with a minimum ACT score of 24. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office with a deadline of March 26, 2010.

Learn and Work Scholarship sponsored by HiMark Golf Course, Sheridan Lutheran Church and the Lincoln Journal Star. The vision of this scholarship is to reach students who truly have a financial need. Moreover, it seeks to reward those students who have endured much, overcome many obstacles, and who trials in live have focused their vision for their future. Students who have a family member that is member of the Stromsburg Fire department or a graduating senior that lives within the Stromsburg Fire district.
