Lakeview Tough Match
August 28, 2007
The Lady Broncos traveled to Columbus Lakeview last Friday to face the No. 5 team in class B. It was a nail biter that came down to the wire. Kasey Romohr started the Lady Broncos off right with a lead off single, and was bunted over to second by Danielle Mooney. The Lady Broncos were off to a hot start after getting runners into scoring position. However, they were unable to capitalize and the inning ended without any runs scored.
Junior pitcher Kerra Grantski threw a great game and was aided by some great defensive plays. It was a good team effort and learning experience. “We played hard and never let down, it was a team effort the entire game," stated second baseman Kasey Romohr. “It was a great game to start the season, I just wish the score could have been reversed,” stated first baseman Kayla Kilgore. The Lady Broncos fell 1-0.
The Lady Broncos play again Tuesday at home against Aurora. Come out and support your Lady Broncos.
